iOS 27 Features Apple Didn't Talk About on Stage

The new Siri AI stole the show at Apple's WWDC 2026, but iOS 27 has many hidden gems that could improve your iPhone experience.

While Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2026 was all about the new Siri AI, the company didn't discuss several features that will be coming to iOS 27. These small changes could make a big difference in your daily iPhone usage.

Improved Multitasking

iOS 27 will feature improved multitasking capabilities, allowing users to switch between apps more seamlessly. This is especially useful for users who have multiple apps open at the same time.

• Users will be able to swipe left and right to switch between apps, rather than having to go back to the home screen.

• The app switcher will also feature a new 'Recent Apps' tab, which will show users the apps they've used most recently.

Enhanced Siri Capabilities

Siri will get even smarter in iOS 27, with the ability to understand more complex queries. This means that users will be able to ask Siri more natural, conversational questions, and get more accurate results.

• Siri will also be able to perform more tasks without requiring users to manually input information. For example, users will be able to ask Siri to book a ride using their preferred ride-hailing app.

• Additionally, Siri will be able to understand and respond to more nuanced language, such as idioms and colloquialisms.

Other Noteworthy Features

• iOS 27 will feature a new 'Focus Mode' that allows users to customize their notification settings based on their location.

• The feature will also allow users to schedule specific times when they want to be notified, and when they want to be left alone.

• Furthermore, iOS 27 will feature a new 'Quick Actions' feature that allows users to quickly access frequently used actions from the lock screen.

• This feature will be especially useful for users who need to quickly access certain features, such as taking a screenshot or launching a specific app.

Conclusion

While iOS 27 may not have the flashiest new features, it's clear that Apple is committed to improving the overall iPhone experience. With improved multitasking, enhanced Siri capabilities, and other noteworthy features, iOS 27 is shaping up to be a solid update for iPhone users.
