Meta Unveils Subscription Plans for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp

Meta is expanding its subscription model with new plans for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, offering consumers, creators, and businesses a range of features for a fee.

New "Plus" Plans for Consumers

Meta's new "Plus" plans, which include Instagram Plus ($3.99/mo), Facebook Plus ($3.99/mo), and WhatsApp Plus ($2.99/mo), provide additional features for power users. These plans offer profile customization, super reactions, and story insights, among other things.

• Instagram Plus features include the ability to see how many people have rewatched your Story in aggregate, create unlimited audience lists for Stories, and spotlight a story once a week for additional views.
• Facebook Plus offers a similar set of features to Instagram Plus.
• WhatsApp Plus offers features like app themes, custom ringtones, additional pinned chats, list customization, premium stickers, and more.

Meta AI Subscription Plans

Meta is also testing two subscription plans for Meta AI users: Meta One Plus ($7.99/mo) and Meta One Premium ($19.99/mo). These plans offer additional features, including deeper reasoning for complex tasks and more video and image-generation capabilities.

• The Meta One Plus plan unlocks more capacity on higher compute queries, enabling users to perform more complex tasks.
• The Meta One Premium plan offers even more capabilities, including video and image-generation capabilities across Meta's apps.

Professional and Business Plans

Meta is also launching new plans for creators and businesses, including the Meta One Essential plan ($14.99/mo) and the Meta One Advanced plan ($49.99/mo).

• The Meta One Essential plan offers the Verified badge, impersonation protection, and an enhanced linksheet where users can link out to their online presence across social channels and the web.
• The Meta One Advanced plan includes the Essential plan benefits, as well as the ability to be featured in the Facebook feed, appear higher in Facebook and Instagram search results, and gain attention with a bold "Follow" button on Reels.
